Ever wondered what it’s like to work at Lewkin? Spoiler: it’s a mix of creative chaos, group chats full of outfit inspo, and a whole lot of making things happen. We sat down with the women behind the brand—aka the ones keeping your FYP fresh and your closet stocked—
to talk about work, passion, and the little things that keep them going.

Currently, Doechii or Amelia from Chicken Shop Date—both truly believe in themselves and know what they're doing.
How do you balance ambition with self-care (or do we just accept the burnout life)?
I always try to listen to my inner voice first before I do anything

If you could give your past self career advice, what would it be?
Don't be afraid to try new things and make mistakes—everyone does.
How do you balance ambition with self-care (or do we just accept the burnout life)?
Pilates right after work to burn off every second of stress with muscle burn.
If you could sum up your Lewkin experience in one meme, what would it be?
I could be hustling or I could be HUSTLING
Can you share your Chuseok childhood memories?
Because I lived abroad my entired childhood, I rarely had the chance to experience Chuseok with my extended family.
However, my parents always found a way to bring Korean Chuseok to Taiwan, be it gathering with the whole Korean community
and celebrating together or cooking traditional korean dish.

Looking at her, she gives me the courage to try to stpe out of my comfort zone (in fashion but in general as well)

The top of my head, the most special memory would be when I went to Maru's photoshoot to help out and the pace, the teamwork I had with the team was perfection.

How did you end up in your current role—was it always part of the plan, or a happy accident?
I had no plans to join but came across a reel while doomscrolling before bed (the one that goes "Lewkin is hiringgg") and decided to apply. The next day, I got an interview offer and joined the team as a branding design/ social media intern!
How do you keep your creativity flowing when you hit a slump?
I consume more than I create. I know a lot of creatives say to "create more than you consume" but I seem to do the opposite to find new inspirations.
What’s a project or moment at Lewkin that made you think, “Yep, this is why I do this”?
Some projects, like designing the Lewkin Strawberry Milkbox, were finished on a tight schedule, which can be stressful in the process. But seeing so many positive comments on the finished design was very fulfilling 🙂
Can you share your Chuseok childhood memories?
During middle school when I lived in Korea
I would spend every Chuseok with my whole extended family, spending the entire day cooking 전 and making 송편.
I never really celebrated again after moving back to Australia, but I remember Chuseok fondly as one of the best times I was able to spend with my relatives.

What’s a project or moment at Lewkin that made you think, “Yep, this is why I do this”?
Every time we shoot content, I get to try on super cute outfits that I end up buying later. I spend all the money I make at Lewkin on Lewkin. :3
How did you end up in your current role—was it always part of the plan, or a happy accident?
Very happy accident! It was super spontaneous but I'm so glad this happened because I've learned so much whilst working here, and also met great people. I feel like I'm "leveling up" in life. At the same time though, I've always wanted to work in fashion - I LOVE clothes - so maybe it was a part of my grand plan after all.
Can you share your Chuseok childhood memories?

Can you share your Chuseok childhood memories?
When I lived in the states, none of my relative were with me during Chuseok except my mom,
dad and brother.
However, we went to a Korean church where we made 송편 from scratch. This was
the closest I have felt to my culture while in the states.

The day the whole Lewkin team went to film at the studio with new arrival samples. It was so much
fun creating content and trying on the new clothing pieces.
Everyone was having so much fun
and we really felt like a family!

What’s your secret weapon for staying productive?
Lunch break, last-minute panic, and fear of getting a message from my managers.
What’s something about working in fashion/beauty that people totally get wrong?
It’s not all fun try-ons and runway shows. It's mostly spreadsheets, emails, and hoping the products arrive on time.
What’s the most Gen Z thing about how you work?
Snacking, task-switching, and occasional TikTok scrolling to keep me "motivated."
Can you share your Chuseok childhood memories?
Korean holidays like Chuseok meant long car trips to my dad’s hometown when I was a child.
I would pack my nintendo ds and take turns playing Animal Crossing with my younger sisters in the car during the five-hour drive there.

As I’m in a creative role, I was involved in looking for references, props, shooting itself, and vlogging behind the scenes. I liked strategizing for our theme and the shoot day itself was entertaining with everyone’s positive vibes!
